Beau Jangles (sold)

Beau is going over fences with youth riders and doing very well. He has been shown on the Welsh circuit English, Western, Halter, Showmanship, and lightly over fences. Beau is also started in harness.

Beau is Mr. Personality. Very ponyish and lots of fun. He has an adorable wide Welsh forehead, big eyes, and tiny ears. Beau is a classic Welsh Mountain Pony, as opposed to the more modern Sec B, so his nature is very much like the ponies we all grew up riding.

For a rider with experience, Beau rides bareback in a halter and plays easily at Parelli L2/L3. He sidepasses poles, backs through gates, jumps a single barrel from the walk, and plays wearing a tarp. He's very light on the aids so he does all this wearing a cordeo (string around the neck). So far, Beau's horsenality is very varied, but innately, we believe he is a low spirit left brain introvert. Presently, he is very much like the roan pony that Pat plays with in the Savvy Club dvd where Pat plays with 4 different horsenalities and Pat and Linda each do a voice over.

Beau is still a little green as he is only 6, so he is priced accordingly. He was started at age 4 and had a year with a trainer and 11-13 year old catch riders. From age 5 to 6, Beau mostly sat and was started in harness. PonyPros feels that Beau would do best in a home where he will get loved on a lot and have a lot of consistency. Ponies of Beau's breed settle in very nicely when they know the ropes but tend towards the hotter side of things with too much pressure. On the other hand, they tend towards the lazy side of things if treated too much like a pet. Beau would be a great pony for 3 day eventing or gymkhana, and would also make a great Western Pleasure pony if he had a little more mileage. Sec A's have a reputation for being great for leadline and ponying on the trail, as well.
