Jeanne's Blondie
2006, 15'2h reg. QH mare, $3500
Blondie was started by PonyPros at age 2.5. She was ridden one day a week until she was 3, and then began riding 1-3 days per week. She has now been under saddle a little over a year. Blondie is does all 7 Games with less than phase 1. She jumps the barrels, will sidepass just about anything, and is great at YoYoing through squeezes. She's awesome with tarps and all kinds of Friendly games. Blondie is light on the aids under saddle and understands halfpass and shoulder-in. She has had minimal finesse work - mostly just at a walk with basic collection. Blondie is started on her canter work and is building duration. She has cantered a few jumps. Blondie has been ridden by kids and beginners as young as 7. She also likes trail riding and is very calm. Blondie is only 4, so is not a finished horse, but at home she is very sweet and a great teacher. Horses temperaments do change as they age, but Blondie is predominately a LBI with RBI tendencies when she is nervous. She does have a good play drive when you encourage it.
*Our program is bitless but Blondie has been introduced to a snaffle. We ride in jumping hackamores or halters.
