Horse/Pony Wanted Ads
If you are looking for a horse or pony, please email us your "pony wanted" ad and we will post it to help you find your dream pony. We prefer to post ads only for cash-in-hand buyers rather than window shoppers as it can be frustrating for horse sellers to deal with less than serious inquiries. Feel free to post your phone number, but we suggest that you do not post your email address as your may receive spam. Please let us know when you have found a pony and would like us to remove your ad. It's important to remove your ad immediately after you find a pony so you don't get seller's hopes up unnecessarily.
Your "Horse/Pony Wanted" ad should include your name, age, name of your boarding stable, your location, the estimated number of hours you have ridden over the course of your lifetime, as well as your dream pony's age range, height range, price range, riding discipline, and any other information you think is relevant.
Example Pony Wanted Ad
My name is Example. I am 8 years old and board at Pony Pros in Bend, OR. I have ridden 70 hours, can walk, trot, canter, and trot cross rails. I am ready to start trot-a-course at local shows. I am looking for a pony to show in hunters. My dream pony would be a chestnut and white paint, but I am open to other colors. I am hoping to find a pony that doesn't take much leg to ride because I get tired. I'm ok with a pony that rushes a little bit. I don't like to have to ride with a whip or spurs. I am currently jumping 2' on a school pony. My new pony will teach me to canter 2'-2'6" jumps so we can show in short stirrup ponies. I prefer ponies that are 12-13h but could ride a 14h pony if it were quiet and easy to stop and steer. My pony needs to know how to do lead changes as I am still learning. I take lessons 2 days a week and can have a trainer ride my pony once a week. My pony will be fed lots of treats and will have a happy life at a natural horsemanship barn.
Good luck, we hope your receive many responses to your ad!
